ThebuildingwhichwasassignedtohimandhisflockbytheBoardofEducationofTuolumneCounty，California，hadbeenoriginallyachurch。Itstillboreafadedodorofsanctity，mingled，however，withalaterandslightlyalcoholicbreathofpoliticaldiscussion，theresultofitsweeklyoccupationundertheauthorityoftheBoardasaTribunefortheenunciationofpartyprinciplesanddevotiontotheLibertiesofthePeople。Therewereafewdog-
